Celebrating Mothers in Liberty Village

By  |

Mother’s Day is fast approaching and is on Sunday, May 14th this year. There are many ideas and places to dine to help celebrate “Mom” here in Liberty Village. Dating back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, people recognize their love and appreciation for Mothers on an annual basis in at least 46 countries.

Brunch with Mom

One of the most popular meals of the week is brunch. Numerous publications and people rank many of the area’s restaurants as having some of the best brunch menus in the city. Why not take Mom to one of Liberty Village’s hot spots? Make sure to book reservations (where applicable) or arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Restaurants to Consider:

For the New Mom (or mom to be)

For the new mom whose little one (or ones if there are twins) is too young to create a homemade card or gift, aside from showering her with dinner and flowers, you can also buy the baby a nice gift to make mom happy.

For the Love of Cake is also a force not to be reckoned with.  Their talented designers can create custom made cakes with extreme precision to detail.  Think something as complex as R2D2 but also know that something simple can be outstanding and effective with their bite-sized cake balls.

Just a small selection of the awesome cards printed in Liberty Village.
Located off the beaten path, this quirky and fun shop is also a printing press studio. Handmade cards and other great pieces are available here. Many other Toronto retailers, including The Drake General Store, stock the Smitten Kitten line that is produced right here on site. Some of the cards are quite sassy, but are sure to bring a smile (or a snicker) to the recipient’s face. No matter the occasion, I Have a Crush On You is an awesome spot to support local and get great gifts.

Spa services, like a manicure, never go out of style. Let the staff at The Beauty Room make Mom look and feel amazing.
